Return every grid and level in the active view to the shared 3D extent — datum ends realign with the model extent.
After customizing 2D extents across a batch of views, issuing the drawing set means putting those same grids and levels back on one shared 3D extent — miss one and the datum length mismatches from sheet to sheet, one of the most common QA findings right before submission.
There is no bulk reset — every grid and level that was switched to 2D earlier has to be selected individually and hit with "Reset to 3D Extents" or the same tiny 2D/3D grip.
Before issuing, there's no quick way to list which elements haven't been reset — the mismatch only surfaces from manually comparing datum lengths across printed sheets.
Because the 3D extent is shared across the whole model, one person resetting a handful of grids can quietly reshape the datum ends in a colleague's structural or MEP plan, with no warning before the click.
A project with several issue cycles means the customize-then-reset loop repeats every time, and each pass is a manual, from-scratch pass over every grid and level.
The same ReviTea add-in has a "Trim/Extend Grid 3D" command to switch back, but it still needs a reference boundary picked and hasn't been updated since Revit 2017. Datum 3D needs no boundary and no per-element selection — it puts the whole view back on the model's shared extent in a single click:
