Create callouts in bulk from picked regions on the parent view: two clicks define the crop, names come from the grid intersection, a template is applied and the batch runs.
Building a detail callout in Revit is manual and repetitive: draw the callout region on the parent view, name it by location — usually the nearest grid intersection — apply a view template, then repeat the exact same steps for every typical node in the drawing set. A project with many repeated details means dozens of identical passes.
The native Callout tool only creates an empty view — the engineer has to type the name from the nearest grid intersection and eyeball the crop to fit the node.
With no auto-naming rule, everyone types names their own way — by grid, by sequence number, by category — making it hard to cross-reference details of the same type across the set.
Native Revit creates callouts one at a time, with no way to pick multiple regions and generate them together — batching it means repeating the manual steps or writing a one-off script.
After a callout is created, its view still needs a template applied one by one — easy to miss, which leaves published details inconsistent in line weight and hatch.
No Autodesk App Store add-in was found that batch-creates callouts with auto-naming from grid intersections — the closest related tool (Views Package) only generates 3D views FROM existing callouts, it doesn't create them. The common approach is still Revit's native Callout tool: draw, name, apply the template, one at a time. Detail Callout folds the pick, the naming and the template into a single batch pass:
