Batch Exporter.

Export drawing sets in bulk to PDF, DWG, IFC and NWC from a saved sheet set, named to the project rule and logged per issue.

01 · THE PROBLEM

Every issue means opening four separate Revit export dialogs one by one — PDF, DWG under CAD Formats, then NWC, then IFC — re-ticking the same sheet set in each, hand-naming files to the project rule, and trying to remember which set went out with which issue. Revit keeps no record of any of it, so cross-checking later means digging through folders or asking whoever ran it.

Re-ticking the sheet set for every format

Revit keeps PDF, DWG, NWC and IFC in separate export dialogs with no shared sheet set between them, so every issue means rebuilding the same list four times over.

Naming files to the project rule by hand

Revit's default file name is just the sheet number and title, not the project's issue code — getting it right means renaming every file by hand after export, or scripting around Revit.

No record of who exported what, or when

Nothing in Revit records which issue exported which sheet set — when a reviewer sends a package back asking "which revision is this", the answer is buried in an inbox or in someone's memory.

10–15 phút

Batch NWC and IFC exports lock up the whole session

Heavy exports like NWC and IFC block the whole Revit session — no per-file progress, and picking the wrong sheet set partway through means waiting it out or killing the task, not cancelling it.

02 · FEATURES

What it does

Batch export add-ins for Revit aren't scarce on the Autodesk App Store: ProSheets (free, with a paid Premium tier) covers seven formats — PDF, DWG, DGN, DWF, NWC, IFC and images — while a different add-in that happens to share the generic name "Batch Exporter" (a different developer, unrelated to ZFENIX) reaches 18 export formats. But both stop at the export itself — neither saves a sheet set per issue nor logs who exported what and when for later cross-checking. ZFENIX's Batch Exporter covers the four formats that actually carry a design package — PDF, DWG, IFC and NWC — alongside the issue-control layer plain exporters don't have:

A

Batch export

  • Four formats: PDF, DWG, IFC, NWC
  • Pick a saved sheet set instead of re-ticking each time
  • File names follow the project rule
B

Control the issue

  • Logs every export for later reconciliation
  • Batched with progress and mid-run cancel
  • Export settings saved for the next issue
