01 · THE PROBLEM

Clash issues live on the CDE while the engineer sits inside Revit — checking a status means leaving the model, opening a browser, hunting down the right issue, then coming back to hand-find the clash location from a text description. With no bridge in place, every status update or comment routes through another channel, chat or email, and drifts loose from the model's context.

An issue description is just text — "DN150 pipe through the beam at grid 5-C, level 3" — the engineer has to pick a view, find the right elements, and zoom or section-box in by hand for every single issue.

Leaving Revit just to read a status

With no pane to follow issues in place, a CDE browser tab has to stay open next to Revit — dozens of alt-tabs a session just to see which issues are Resolved and which are still Open.

Status drifts apart across channels

One person updates status on the CDE web app, another tracks it in a private spreadsheet, and the real decision happens in a chat thread — with nothing syncing both ways, every copy could be the stale one.

Comments and screenshots detached from the issue

Back-and-forth about a clash usually lives in a group chat — screenshots, decisions and the owner all sit apart from the original issue, so a week later nobody can trace who said what.

02 · FEATURES

What it does

BIMcollab's BCF Manager does something similar — create, view and sync issues right from the Revit ribbon — but that's a separate add-in bundled with the BIMcollab platform, whose Basic/Advanced plans already start at €12.50–18.75 per user per month billed annually (€19–29 monthly), before the Twin CDE itself. Cloud Issues isn't another window to open — it's a pane docked next to Revit, running alongside whatever else is already open:
